Free Dessert Day – Wednesday, September 15 (Video)

Want a free dessert? Who doesn’t?

Help celebrate the premiere of Top Chef Just Desserts with a free dessert! Just make an online reservation and dine at one of the restaurants at this link on September 15, and you will get a free dessert for every 2 diners at your table. See list at this link for participating restaurants and their meal participation.

In our neighborhood, Joe Theismann’s Restaurant is participating in this promotion with a freebie off their regular menu (HINT: If you haven’t tried it yet, get the Peanut Butter Pie – it is spectacular!).  If you love Italian food like I do, Laporta’s, located at 1600 Duke Street, is also offering a free dessert from their regular menu.

Locally, the Chart House is participating with a free Mud Pie during dinner (making me hungry just thinking about it) and the Del Merie Grill in Del Ray, one of Tom Seitsma’s treasures, is participating like Joe Theismann’s with a free dessert from their regular menu. Monroe’s, located on Commonwealth Ave in Alexandria, is also offering a free dessert off it’s menu.

Lastly, remember to tune in September 15 to watch the premiere of Top Chef Just Desserts on BRAVO! Here’s a sneak peek:

Great post. Will definitely make a reservation. Suggestion: Maybe a better line to use would have been, ‘Peanut Butter Pie, it’s real and it’s spectacular!’

Why is this article listed in the 20882 “community” news? I have to drive 40 miles to get to these restaurants. Not exactly in the “community”.

Hmm. Probably because it applies not only to the 22314 area code but to all of the local zip codes as well. There are Falls Church, Silver Spring, Adams Morgan, and other and many other D.C. restaurants participating. See this link for more.
