This is reminder to a post we posted earlier this week.
Tonight! Friday, April 1, 2011, the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project folks, working on completing the Telegraph Road interchange, want everyone to know that the outer loop from the Eisenhower Connector to just past Telegraph Road will be narrowed to one lane Friday night.
Only one lane will be available to traffic on the outer loop of the Capital Beltway between the Eisenhower Connector and just east of the Telegraph Road interchange starting Friday night.
I-95/I-495 north will be narrowed to the single lane as construction crews do work for the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project. The closure is required to shift and reconfigure lanes for the THRU/LOCAL lane split.
Starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, the right local lane of the outer loop will be blosed in the area. One local and one thru lane will remain open. The on-ramps to the outer loop from Telegraph Road norht and south will also be closed.
Around midnight, the right local lane will reopen and the left local lane and the thru lane will close.
The restriction will last through mid-morning on Saturday, when the second local lane will reopen. All lanes and traffic movements will be fully restored by mid-day Saturday.
Drivers should expect delays and may wish to take alternate routes. For example, drivers who want to take the outer loop from Telegraph Road should take Huntington Avenue east to Route 1 and then the on-ramp to the Outer Loop.
