The City has announced that Potomac Yard Development contractors will perform work at the Simpson Dog Park, located at 426 E. Monroe Avenue, during the weeks of April 18 and April 25 to improve the turf on the top slope and perform other minor improvements.
The upper slope of Simpson Dog Park will be closed until mid-June to allow the grass to establish. The lower portion of the dog park will remain open for use. Please be reminded that in order for the turf to establish, dogs must remain outside the fenced portion on the upper slope.
While the upper slope is closed, consider coming to Carlyle’s Dog Park located at 450 Andrews Lane in Carlyle (map). NOTE: There aren’t a lot of parking spaces right near the Dog Park, so check out our parking map.
Hope to see you at the park!
And dog owners, while you’re in Carlyle, be sure to check all of the Barkley Square dog treats for sale at Artfully Gifts & Chocolate at 506 John Carlyle Street (next door to the 7-11 in Carlyle).
