Law enforcement in Maryland and Virginia are partnering on Tuesday to crack down on HOV-lane violations, according to an announcement from the Virginia State Police.
The effort — during both morning and evening rush hours — will target HOV violations on Interstates 66, 95, 395 and the Dulles Toll Road in Virginia, and on Interstate 270 and Route 50 in Maryland, according to Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller.
Participating law enforcement agencies include the Maryland State Police, Virginia State Police, Alexandria Police, Arlington County Police, Fairfax County Police and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police.
