Motorists urged to use alternate routes to avoid delays

Weather permitting, the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project will be conducting lane reductions in the Telegraph Road Interchange of the Capital Beltway to move construction equipment overnight on Wednesday, June 22. This work will have significant impacts on local traffic and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid delays. The scheduled impacts are as follows.

Wednesday, June 22 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning:

  • Huntington Avenue will be reduced to one lane between Kathryn Street and Telegraph Road to move construction equipment. There will be flaggers on-site to alternately stop eastbound and westbound traffic.

Please use caution when traveling in this area. All construction-related work and dates are subject to change, depending on weather, material and contractor availability or other unforeseen conditions.
