The City of Alexandria says one of the reasons they want to redesign the King Street Metro Station is because no one is using the parking lot and the metered spaces. Here are two photos – one from the morning and one from the evening. The thought is to move the taxi cabs further away and make a small kiss and ride lot which will cause drivers to circle the smaller lot.
Does it look like no one uses the parking lot? Granted, the lot needs to be redesigned but, it should be noted that a lot of folks use the lot to wait for people which makes the idea of a small lot seem a bit screwy.
What do you think?
