Spoke to an Alexandria Sheriff, Police Sergeant, as well as a Fireman who all told me they made 30 rescues tonight in the Eisenhower Ave/Telegraph Road area of Alexandria due to the heavy rains and flooding our area has experienced. I saw well over a dozen cars abandoned on Telegraph Road in both sides. Our first responders said ‘they got them all.’

The shot below is of the gathering of emergency vehicles over near the Courtyard By Marriott where they worked from as they battled the water to get people out.

Thank you to our first responders!
