Waterfront4All – Group Formed To Save Alexandria’s Waterfront

Citizens from across Alexandria have formed Waterfront4All to support the adoption of the city’s Waterfront Small Area Plan.

The people that have signed on to support the City’s plan include mothers, fathers, architects, residents from all areas of the city including Old Town, Rosemont and the West End, business owners, members of the Old Dominion Boat Club, historians and retirees. Waterfront4All recognizes that this is a historic opportunity to bring more green space and economic revitalization to our waterfront. We commend the city staff for not only a well thought through plan, but one that included input from many citizens in many meetings over two years. The plan is designed to improve the waterfront while not increasing taxes. Now is the time for the city to build on the tremendous input citizens have provided over the past two years and approve this well thought through plan.

Waterfront4All has created a website (Waterfront4All.org) with information about the City’s plan and what we feel is misinformation that has been discussed in the community.

Many people all over Alexandria are excited about the opportunity to clean up the waterfront creating wonderful space for all. Waterfront4All has a Facebook page as well.
