What Was With All The Traffic This Morning On Duke Street? (Photos)

I mentioned to a friend of mine this morning about 0800 as we traveled down Jamieson Ave toward West Street, ‘where are all of these cars coming from? It’s not usually this backed up.’

Thanks to our reader Steffanie, I now know the answer.

There was some type of incident at the Duke Street and John Carlyle Street intersection. Looks like one of three possibilities from the photos – 1) Either a pedestrian was struck by a car or 2) There was a car accident requiring a victim to be transported by ambulance or 3) A person became in distress while walking and 911 was called much like the gentleman whose life was saved by Congressman Roe yesterday.
