Snow Emergency Declared For DMV For #TitanStorm

Waiting for the latest models at 9:00pm. This one’s going to be exciting! In the meantime, Virginia, Maryland, and the District have declared a snow emergency in advance of winter storm Titan.

WASHINGTON (AP/ WJLA) – District of Columbia officials have declared a snow emergency will go into effect early Monday. Vehicles parked on snow emergency routes will be ticketed and towed.

Several other area jurisdictions in Virginia and Maryland have also declared a snow emergency.
Metro has announced that all MetroBus lines and routes will be suspended Monday morning. Metro has also suspended its MetroAccess paratransit service for Monday. Buses will continue running through the last scheduled trips Sunday night.

D.C. officials announced Sunday that the snow emergency regulations will begin at 7 a.m. Monday. The D.C. Department of Public Works and Department of Transportation will move cars off snow emergency routes so that snow can be cleared from curb to curb.

Parking restrictions will remain in effect until officials lift the order.
