The National Cherry Blossom Festival® Parade is one of Washington, D.C.’s largest public events. The event annually draws in the neighborhood of 100,000 spectators and tourists from around the world. The parade combines wonderful entertainment for the whole family as you can see in the highlights from the 2012 festival above..

Sources tell me grandstand seating is SOLD OUT and that you can expect roads intersecting Constitution Avenue to be blocked off till the early afternoon. So if you’re going, be sure TO GET THERE EARLY. WUSA 9 posted some great tips on how to get to the Cherry Blossoms. Dr. Gridlock has all you need to know about getting to and enjoying the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade.
