UPDATED (8/26 – 7:16 AM): Date in the title was wrong. Was Sept 5, changed to Sept 4 which is Thursday.

As we told you first, the Upper King Street Fresh Farmers Market had applied for an S.U.P. and change of location. They have finally received approval for the SUP and will run a short season from September-October this year – only 9 Thursdays in 2014 — but come out and say hello!.

The market will have 10-12 vendors with an emphasis on local, freshly harvested foods and baked goods. Bakers, free range meats, eggs, Amish cheese, cookies and more…. Pick something up for dinner on your way home!

The new site will be at 1755 Duke street – the hotel/office complex called “King St Station”. This is a terrific commercial-community partnership. The market will be in the lovely fountain courtyard – easy landmark is Embassy Suites hotel on Diagonal Street – directly across from the Metro. And, 30 minutes of free underground parking for patrons!

The website will be updated soon with new vendors. See you at the market!
