Parents! If you are the parent of a young child and if you aren’t headed to the beach this weekend for one final blowout before school starts, you might want to check this out.

As part of the Kennedy Center’s 13th Annual Page-to-Stage Festival, Alexandria’s own Arts on the Horizon will be presenting a sneak peek of our new show, Blossom’s Rainbow on the Millennium Stage, Monday, September 1st at 11:00 AM!

Blossom’s Rainbow is a work-in-progress, but they are excited to share this 15-20 minute sneak peek of the show and hear your feedback afterwards. The full production will premiere in Alexandria, Virginia in March 2015.

Blossom’s Rainbow is created, directed and choreographed by Margot Greenlee with music composed and performed by Taiko drummer, Mark H. Rooney.
A painter’s brush sets a young cherry blossom’s world into motion. Infused with whimsical dance, vibrant colors, and dynamic live music, join Blossom on her journey from the red mountains down to the indigo city in this new piece that celebrates Japanese culture.
This gently interactive, creative, nonverbal show is geared towards children ages 2-5.

As with all of the Page-to-Stage events, tickets are free and no advance registration is required! Just show up on September 1st and join Arts on the Horizon for a wonderful family-friendly morning!
