Accessibility Enhancements On Tap for Chinquapin Park

Chinquapin Park

The City of Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities is constructing a new access ramp between the loop road and picnic pavilion in Chinquapin Park located at 3210 King Street in Alexandria, Virginia. The new ramp will comply with accessibility standards.

Weather permitting, work will begin Tuesday, September 2 and continue through mid-October. Residents will see equipment in use and crews at work during the daytime. The picnic shelter will not be available for use Monday-Friday during construction. For your safety, please use extra caution when moving around the site.

For additional information or questions about the work, contact Ty Specht, at tspecht@programmanagers.com or 202.266.3426, or Beth Znidersic, at Bethany.znidersic@alexandriava.gov or 703.746.5492.
