Holiday Inn on Eisenhower Avenue Quietly Closes Its Doors

Holiday inn on Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia

We were alerted by an astute reader over the weekend that the Holiday Inn on Eisenhower Avenue had quietly shut its doors. As you can see above, that is clearly the case. The sign on the door said the place had closed on July 31, 2014 (See below). Anyone have any idea why? Can’t find any news about it online. Have a call in to the owner. Will post when and if we get a call back.
