Alexandria Tutoring Consortium Needs Volunteer Tutors

Alexandria Tutoring Consortium logoThe Alexandria Tutoring Consortium still needs 50 dependable volunteers able to tutor kindergartners and first graders one-on-one once or twice a week in literacy skills in Alexandria public schools. Sessions are 30 minutes for first graders and 20 minutes for kindergartners, at the school during the school day from October through May.

Substitutes are available when needed. Training, lesson plans and materials targeted at each child’s reading needs are provided.
