ACPS Superintendent Answers Questions About Alexandria Schools (Video)

ICYMI from yesterday, Alexandria City Public School’s (ACPS) Superintendent Dr. Alvin Crawley went on the Kojo Nnamdi Show to talk about the state of the ACPS school system one (1) year after taking over from the disastrous Dr. Morton Sherman.

Facing flagging test scores, middle schools in disarray, and a possible state takeover of one of its elementary schools, the system quickly turned to veteran educator Alvin Crawley to take the helm. Now in his first full year as Alexandria’s schools chief, Crawley sat down with Kojo Nnamdi on WAMU to discuss the challenges, goals, and achievements for ACPS this year and in the coming years ahead.

This was a GREAT interview as Mr. Nnamdi asked some tough questions. Dr. Crawley also answered some tough questions from listeners.
