Alexandria Police Arrest Suspect for Series of Burglaries Around Alexandria

APD badgeThe Alexandria Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with a series of burglaries of local residences.

Police arrested Desmond Maxey, 20, of Maryland, on Wednesday, December 10, 2014. During the course of investigation, detectives determined the suspect was responsible for at least three of the residential burglaries in the City of Alexandria dating back through November of this year:

  • November 20:  4000 block of Taney Avenue
  • November 21:  3800 block of Taft Avenue
  • December 4:  600 block of Putnam Place

Maxey was charged with three counts of Larceny with the Intent to Distribute and three counts of Burglary. More charges may be pending as the investigation continues.
