Potomac Yard Metrorail Station Community Open House – Wednesday, April 8

Option A of Potomac Yard Metro in Alexandria Virginia as seen from the air

The public is invited to the second Potomac Yard Metrorail Station Community Open House scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Charles Houston Recreation Center, located at 901 Wythe Street in Alexandria, Virginia.

This Community Open House will cover specific potential environmental impacts covered in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), which has been approved for release by the Federal Transit Administration and the National Park Service. Staff will be present to assist the public in learning about potential environment impacts related to wetlands, Greens Scenic Area Easement, City Parkland, National Park Service land, visual resource and cultural resources. This open house will have no formal presentation.

The DEIS document is available on the Potomac Yard Development webpage and at several City facilities: a complete list can be found at this link.

For more information about this project please contact Lee Farmer or visit the City’s Potomac Yard website at this link.

Comments can be submitted at any time throughout the EIS process to comments@potomacyardmetro.com. Comments submitted between April 3 and May 18 will be responded to in the Final Environmental Impact Statement.
