Book Signing for “Government is the Problem” in Alexandria

Col. Patrick Murray

Former Congressional Candidate & Alexandria Resident Patrick Murray Releases New Book

Colonel Patrick Murray (USA, retired) to hold a book signing on April 15, in conjunction with the release of his new book, Government is the Problem. @home real estate will host the release party at their offices located at 111 S. Alfred Street in Alexandria from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

Murray’s book makes the compelling case that the biggest divide in America isn’t racial disharmony, economic inequality, or Republicans vs. Democrats, but rather the growing disparity between the federal government and Main Street America. Col. Murray explains how the demise of limited government and individual liberty runs against our core founding concepts and is robbing future generations of the American Dream.

Fortunately, the solution is included in our founding documents. Invoking the spirit of America’s founding fathers, Murray points to Article 5 of the US Constitution, which he cites is the mechanism our forefathers included in order to overcome this issue. “America needs an intervention,” he explains, “one that comes from the grass roots.”

Col. Murray, a veteran of the Operation Iraqi Freedom, retired in 2009 after a distinguished 25 year career in the Army. In 2010/12 he was the Republican nominee for U.S. Congress in Virginia’s 8th District.

Hosting the event at their location, @home real estate principal broker Karen Hall noted how this event dovetails with their position as a corporate leader in working with transitioning veterans. “Offering a space where people can feel “at home” is important to us, not just for our clients, but also for our local community. A major component of our community vision is supporting our veterans, and we are happy to host Col. Murray as he moves forward in this new venture.”

Government Is the Problem is available on Amazon and will be available at the launch party.
