Bike to School Day 2015 – Wednesday, May 6

It’s time to get in gear and get your wheels rolling for Bike to School Day 2015!

As part of of National Bike Month, the annual Bike to School Day held each May (in 2015 – Wednesday, May 6) encourages students to bike or walk to school while teaching them about the health and environmental benefits of biking and walking. It also helps to raise community awareness about the importance of bicycle and pedestrian safety education, safe routes to schools, well-maintained walkways, and traffic calming in our neighborhoods and around our schools.

So, while you are out tomorrow during the day, be extra safe on the road and watch out for kids in Alexandria, Virginia who are biking or walking to and from school tomorrow.
