Mind the Mat is the Heart of Del Ray in Alexandria, Virginia

UPDATE (6:10 PM):: The festival HAS BEEN POSTPONED due to expected storms in the afternoon.

This Saturday, join more than 25 businesses in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia (“where Main Street still exists”) at the first annual Well Ray Festival – an outdoor celebration of health and wellness. The festival will be held this Saturday, June 6, from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM in the 2200 block of Mount Vernon Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia – specifically at the open field across from Mind the Mat Pilates & Yoga (between Bean Creative and Kiskadee).

Mind The Mat, in partnership with the Del Ray Business Association, is sponsoring the first annual Well Ray festival as part of a community-wide effort to highlight resources for living healthily and happily.

At the festival, you can browse health and lifestyle inspired tents. Wellness practitioners will offer services including therapeutic massages, acupuncture, physical therapy consultations, chiropractic adjustments, nutritional counseling, blood pressure screenings, and check out wellness inspired fashion from local fitness clothing designers, jewelers, and boutiques.

There will be free classes all day, including Pilates and yoga, CrossFit Kids, a GRIT class, kids yoga class, hula hooping, and more. There will also be a ton of giveaways and prizes.

I will see you there @ 2:00 PM. Hope to see you in Del Ray!
