Lena’s Wood-Fired Pizza Coming to Yates Corner This September

Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza + Tap at Yates Corner
A new wood-fired Pizza restaurant called ‘Lena’s Wood-Fired Pizza + Tap‘ is opening at Yates Corner (Mount Vernon Avenue and Braddock Road) in the Rosemont neighborhood area, located near the Braddock Road Metro station.

The new joint will be opening in September as American Real Estate Partners just received the building permits TODAY from the City of Alexandria. Construction is expected to start next week. The joint will have 120 seats and will have outdoor seating. We hear there will be an outdoor fire pit on the plaza at Yates Corner as well. Check out the rendering above…

Speaking of Yates, what is happening with Yates Pizza Palace on Duke St in the old Generous George building? It doesn’t look like much work has been done.

Daria –

I will see what I can find out. here is the last update I have.

Since Lena’s got their permits today, I would suspect the ‘Pizza Palace’ would not be far behind.

No building permit(s) issued for Yates Pizza Palace as of yet.

If there are no permits, why is work going on inside?

Lena’s Pizza has their permits. I am told still no permits issued for Yates Pizza Palace.
