  • LAST day to find Waldo in Old Town Alexandria Hooray for Books! in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia is sponsoring a ‘Where’s Waldo?’ scavenger hunt all throughout the month of July.
  • Celebrate Harry Potter’s birthday at Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary In honor of Harry’s birthday, visit the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum and explore the real world of science and medicine behind J.K. Rowling’s series Harry Potter.
  • ESL class at Burke Branch Library Free English classes for beginners in speaking, reading, and writing English. Text materials will be provided in class. Children can accompany parents.
  • Live Music & Food trucks at Port City Brewing Join us on Friday nights for live music from 7-9pm. We will have a local food truck serving up their succulent grub all night. Come hungry! The tour is at 6:30pm, be sure to reserve a spot. We’ll be open until 10pm. Cheers!

  • Friendship Firehouse Festival The Friendship Veterans Fire Engine Association will celebrate its 241st anniversary at the annual festival held in the 100 block of South Alfred Street, on Saturday, August 1 from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

  • Army Band Concert in Market Square City Sponsored Concert at Market Square with a performance by the 257th Army Band, “The Band of the Nation’s Capital”, featuring “All Entertainment”--music from the stage, the screen and the ring. Feel free to bring chairs or sit on the bench seating around the Square.
  • 4MR Concert Series – Jong Lee 4MRMarket veteran musician Jong Lee. Jong runs Jive Sound a bass guitar shop on the Avenue in Arlandria and his performances are a lot of fun.
