Alexandria Police Release New Details on Saturday Night’s Shooting Near Duke Street

Police Investigate Shooting on Ellsworth Street

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 100 block of Ellsworth Street on Saturday, August 8, 2015.

At approximately 11:52 PM, officers responded to a report of a person injured in the 3100 block of Duke Street. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 34 year-old male City resident, suffering from an injury to the abdomen. He was transported to a local hospital. The victim’s injury was identified as a non-life-threatening gunshot wound at the hospital. Officers determined the crime occurred in the 100 block of Ellsworth Street. The investigation is ongoing.
