DASH Bus Holding School Supply Drive Today In Alexandria!

DASH bus
On Wednesday, August 19, 2015, riders who donate school supplies ride DASH buses for FREE!

Via DASH Bus, Riders are able to donate NEW and UNOPENED school supplies (i.e. backpacks, notebooks, pencils, glue, rulers, etc.) by dropping them in the collection bag when boarding the bus. DASH has partnered with Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) and the Family and Community Engagement Center (FACE), an Alexandria nonprofit organization, for their 24th Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive. “By coming together as a community,” says FACE Manager Krishna Leyva, “we can ensure all students have the basic tools to start the school year with confidence.”

All donated supplies will be provided to students who attend school in the City of Alexandria and will be distributed to ACPS students through each school’s social workers.
