Alexandria Police Arrest Suspect for Burglary

APD badgeThe Alexandria Police Department is investigating several burglaries that occurred in the 1100 block of Colonial Avenue this morning in the Northeast neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia.

Around 8:49 AM this morning (Thursday, August 20), police responded to a residence for the report of a breaking and entering. Police found several other area residences had also been entered. Patrol Officers arrested Tonny Anthony Pitt, 29, of Washington D.C., at the scene. He was charged with Burglary and Possession of Burglarious Tools. More charges may be pending as the investigation continues.
