ALDI in Alexandria’s Seminary Plaza Making Progress

ALDI Seminary Plaza
As we told you first some time ago, the first ALDI Market in Alexandria, Virginia is coming soon to the long vacant Magruder’s space in the Seminary Plaza Shopping Center on Kenmore Avenue in Alexandria. ALDI is a low price grocery chain.

As we also told you first, building permits were issued recently and construction has begun on the space according to sources.

I was out recently taking a look at the progress of the store. Looks like they have demoed all of the old Magruder’s space, and have begun framing the inside. Sources tell me that construction on the space should be done by the end of September. Does that mean the store will be opening in October? We’re trying to find out and as always, our readers will be the first to know.

REMINDER:: There are two more ALDI Markets in development in Alexandria, Virginia as well, one in the West End in 2015 and one in Del Ray in 2016.
