Teamwork to Help Revitalize a Community

In honor of 9/11, Rebuilding Together Alexandria is teaming up with Fannie Mae to rebuild Alexandria’s Hume Springs Park along with the City’s Parks & Recreation Department and RunningBrooke, an Alexandria nonprofit dedicated to helping at risk children.

Rebuilding Together’s 60 Fannie Mae employee volunteers will be building and installing park benches and tables, clearing sod for a stone pathway, installing new signage, removing bushes/trees, and more at Hume Springs Park, located in a low-income neighborhood that borders Arlandria. The work will take place Friday, September 11 from  9:30 AM – 1:30 PM.
