Construction Work Scheduled at Helen Miller/Bernard Hunter Park

Helen Miller/Bernard Hunter Park

The City of Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities is renovating the basketball court at Helen Miller/Bernard Hunter Park, located at 224 North Fayette Street in Alexandria. The court will be milled, repaved, and recolored.  The existing fencing, lights, and goals will be replaced. Please note that the new asphalt must cure for two weeks after installation before new lines and color can be applied.

Weather permitting, work is scheduled to take place between September 11 and October 23. Residents will see equipment in use and crews at work during the daytime. For your safety please use extra caution when moving around the site.

For additional information or questions about the work, contact Ty Specht or Beth Znidersic.
