King Street Station Farmers’ Market The King Street Station Farmers Market is back in 2015 on Thursdays this year from May 21 through September. The market runs from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The market will have 10-12 vendors with an emphasis on local, freshly harvested foods and baked goods. Bakers, free range meats, eggs, Amish cheese, cookies and more…. Pick something up for dinner on your way home!

Paws to Read at Beatley Library Friendly dogs come to the library to listen to their human buddies read to them. Registration is required – please register for a 15 minute slot at the Central Library Youth Services Desk or call 703-746-1702. Grades 1-6.

Black History Museum Panel for Hart-Cellar Act 50th Anniversary Join the Alexandria Black History Museum and the 1882 Foundation as they host a week of activities commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 and the Civil Rights Movement. All events are free and open to the public.

Knit Nite at Beatley Library Want to learn to knit? Complete projects under the guidance of experienced knitters. Yarn and needles will be provided. Grades 4-12.
