King Street Complete Streets Community Meeting

The City’s Department of Transportation & Environmental Services (T&ES), Transportation Planning Division will hold a public meeting on an upcoming Complete Streets project along King Street between Radford Street and Janneys Lane on Tuesday, November 17, from 6:30-8:30 PM at T.C. Williams High School Rotunda located at 3300 King Street in Alexandria.

The purpose of this meeting is to seek community input.  The project will be implemented in conjunction with the resurfacing of the roadway. Complete Streets are streets that are designed and operated to enable safe access for all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, and transit riders of all ages and abilities.

Plan to attend this meeting if you would like to provide feedback, comments and/or concerns.

King Street is never backed up east of Braddock/King/Quaker. Two lanes is too wide. For a neigborhood road, 1 thru lane in each direction, plus a left turn lane, is more than enough. Then you can add bike lanes.
