The Alexandria, Virginia community is invited to provide input on the potential enclosure forms of the Potomac Yard Metrorail Station, and on concepts for Potomac Greens Park, by visiting AlexEngage, the City’s online engagement forum.
Comments received by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, will be compiled and discussed at the next Potomac Yard Metrorail Implementation Work Group (PYMIG) meeting on Monday, December 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Charles Houston Recreation Center, 901 Wythe Street. This feedback will inform the conceptual design process for the Metrorail station and amendments to the parks that are needed to build the station. The public is invited to attend all PYMIG meetings.
Over the next several months, residents and other stakeholders are invited to provide input at public meetings and online via AlexEngage, as the conceptual design is developed.
Regular project updates will be given to the Alexandria Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Board of Architectural Review, and City Council. The public process will be supported by a design team consisting of consultants and staff from the City, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), and the National Park Service.
