Police Investigate Series of Robberies in Alexandria

APD badgeYesterday was a busy day for the Alexandria Police Department (APD).

Yesterday afternoon, APD investigated the robbery of gas station in the 500 block of S. Van Dorn Street. One suspect displayed a gun and stole cash. No injuries reported.

Last night, APD investigated a purse snatch/robbery in the 3800 block Florence Drive which occurred at approximately 6 pm. There were no injuries and the suspect fled on foot.

Also last night, APD investigated a robbery of a gas station in the 2800 block of Duke Street. One suspect displayed a gun and stole cash. There were no injuries reported in this incident.
