Christmas tree memorial
This is an update to this post.

After our earlier post went viral, readers built a memorial to the small ‘Charlie Brown’ evergreen tree that had been growing in the median of Duke Street against the Landmark Mall ramp in Alexandria, Virginia.

What was your favorite part about Alexandria’s ‘Charlie Brown’ Christmas tree?

Thanks go out to a loyal reader who sent me the photos.

This is a testament to how one small act can bring people together.

This little tree made me smile every time I drove past it. We have become a nation of Grinches and Scrooges whose only motive is to suck all of the happiness from the world. I hope whoever cut this little tree down has a miserable Christmas.

Hoping who took it needed a Christmas tree for their children and couldn’t afford one.
