The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a felonious assault that occurred late last night around midnight in the 3900 block of Mt. Vernon Avenue (see below) in the Arlandria neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia.
The victim was transported to the hospital.
‘Felonious Assault’ is defined as an assault that involved (A) a dangerous weapon with intent to cause bodily injury (i.e., not merely to frighten) with that weapon; (B) serious bodily injury; or (C) an intent to commit another felony.
