ADVISORY: Duke Street Water Main Break – Lanes OPEN (Update)

Duke Street
UPDATE (8:34 a.m.):: Followers are reporting that one (1) lane each way is now getting by around the water main break. Expect DELAYS in this area until the break is repaired.

Due to a water main break in the 3600 block, Duke Street in Alexandria, Virginia is CLOSED this morning in both directions between Fort Williams Parkway and Wheeler Avenue (just west of N. Quaker Lane).

Please avoid the area this morning.

You can use North Quaker Lane to Seminary Road to North Jordan Street to get around the closure. If Wheeler Avenue is OPEN, you can also use Wheeler Avenue as well.

For questions about water service, please call Virginia American Water at 800.452.6863. We will update the post as more become available.

Alex – we are at Duke St and Normandy Hills to repair a break. Lanes are currently closed as we work to valve it off. More to come.
