Four Mile Run Winter Farmers’ Market Reminder

Arlandria-area Farmer’s Market to continue through Spring 2016

The Four Mile Run Farmers & Artisans Market will continue to operate through April 2016 indoors at the Four Mile Run Park Conservatory Center (the bright red building at 4109 Mt. Vernon Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia) on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Many of the vendors will stay on all winter.

Via ARLANDRIA, here’s this week’s update

A new produce vendor will start at 4MR Winter Market this weekend! L & J Edelen & Family’s Homestead Farm raises pesticide free, GMO free greens (kale, collards, turnips, Asian spinach, mustard, micro, swiss chard), squash (butter nut, buttercup, acorn, spaghetti), Sweet potatoes, Irish potatoes, and onions.  Plus, they also have farm fresh eggs and honey during the winter months. While not certified organic, it’s the next best thing!

Also new this Sunday is Red Fish Rue Fish, a local artist who makes unique and sometimes geeky jewelry, customized buttons, prints, and more! Check out her website for a sampling of her work!

And of course, you can also get the bagels, breads, cheese, eggs, teas, soaps, and so much more at the market this Sunday!
