Two Restaurants Close Their Doors in Alexandria

Bistrot Royal
April brought two restaurant closings in the Old Town North neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia.

Bistrot Royal

We here Bastille owners Christophe and Michelle Poteaux have closed Bistrot Royal in Alexandria this past Saturday to focus on their Bastille Restaurant in the Braddock Road Metro neighborhood of Alexandria.

Asian inspired tea house and restaurant Teaism recently closed their doors. Located near Trader Joe’s In Old Town North at 682 N. St. Asaph St., like Bastille, we hear the owners have closed their doors to focus on their other locations (Dupont Circle, Penn Quarter and Lafayette Park).

This would be the second restaurant/retail space in that block to close in the last couple of years. Potomac Kempo moved their Old Town location out to Carlyle in Spring 2014.
