Newly Relaunched Majestic Begins Serving Lunch May 31

The Newly Relaunched Majestic to Begin Weekday Lunch Service Starting Tuesday, May 31st

Alexandria Restaurant Partners (ARP) announces that the redesigned landmark restaurant, The Majestic in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia will launch weekday lunch service on Tuesday, May 31st.  Lunch will be served Monday through Friday, from 11:30 AM to 4 PM in the intimate 85-seat main dining room and 20-seat bar. The Majestic’s a la carte menu, created by newly appointed Executive Chef/Proprietor Gaby Hakman, will showcase a collection of Nibbles, Starters, Salads & Sandwiches, as well as Main dishes offering fresh, wholesome, and satisfying lunchtime options.

Offering contemporary seasonal American bistro fare with a Mediterranean influence, Hakman’s dishes are sure to please with a selection of Nibbles such as Fried Olives with pimentón aioli; Potato Chips with caramelized shallot-onion dip, and Deviled Eggs made with ingredients reflecting the chef’s whimsy. Standout Starters include Baked Feta with za’atar, chiles and flatbread; Charred Octopus with chickpea purée, olives and harissa vinaigrette; the Little Gems Salad, with shaved vegetables with Meyer lemon and herbs, as well as Roasted Beets with citrus, whipped goat cheese and pistachios. Nibbles & Starters are priced from $7 to $13.

A selection of robust salads, hearty sandwiches, and lunch entrées can be found in the Large Plates category, featuring showstoppers such as: Steak Salad with mint, basil, chile dressing and peanuts; Spring Chicken Salad with spit-roasted chicken, market veggies, eggs, and croutons; Grilled Veggies Sandwich with harissa, kale, and goat cheese; the Majestic Burger with aged beef, smoked gouda and bacon-onion jam, and the Cubano Sandwich with pork shoulder, pickled cherry peppers and Swiss cheese. Entrée style dishes include: Pot of Mussels with tomato, wine, Calabrian chiles, served with frites; Salmon with lentils, quinoa, spinach and spiced yogurt, as well as Garganelli Pasta with a vegetable bolognese, and pecorino. Salads, Sandwiches, and Entrées are priced from $6 to $15. A collection of seasonal sides will also available such as Baby Carrots with dukkah and yogurt; Roasted Cauliflower with parm butter; Asparagus with pangrattato, and Frites with coriander-cumin salt. Sides are priced from $4 to $8.

The Majestic, located at 911 King Street in Alexandria, Virginia, 22314, with an iconic storefront, will begin the new lunch service on Tuesday, May 31, with regular service Monday through Friday, from 11:30 AM to 4 PM. Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday, from 4 PM to 11 PM and Friday & Saturday, from 4 PM to 12 Midnight. Happy Hour is also available Monday through Friday, from 4 PM to 7 PM.
