The first season of the Civil War series ‘Mercy Street’ was a HUGE hit for PBS. The series, set in Alexandria, Virginia, drew record numbers for PBS both on broadcast and online (more than 5.7 million viewers and 2 million + streams online).
Here’s your first look at Season 2. Season 2 debuts January 22, 2017 at 8:00 PM (7 CT) on PBS. The 2nd season of the Ridley Scott-produced series – picks up where the finale ended, and takes on the growing tensions in Alexandria, Virginia and Mansion House. Allegiances blur, loyalties shift and the drama intensifies as the scope of the war expands.
According to the network, season 2 will “introduce a number of new elements, taking us closer to the fight and into the halls of Confederate power, all set against the intensifying war, starting with the Seven Days’ Battle and culminating with Antietam.”
