Fusion Academy - a new school in Alexandria, Virginia is now taking students
Fusion Academy Open for the School Year in Carlyle

Fusion is an accredited private school for middle and high school for grades 6-12 that started in California in 1989 and has expanded to 39 campuses across the country, including the DMV region. They have leased space at 333 John Carlyle Street that will be ready for move in mid-fall. Until then, the Academy is using temporary space next door at 1900 Duke Street.

They are holding an information session on September 14th from 9 – 10:30 am at Society Fair in Alexandria.

According to its website, the Academy is a community of learning where positive relationships and one-to-one classrooms unlock the academic potential for students to create opportunities for emotional and social growth. In a Fusion one-to-one classroom, the educational experience is customized, classes are self-paced, and course material is presented in ways that suit students’ individual interests, strengths and challenges. Fusion offers over 250 middle and high school courses, all of which meet state standards. Students complete all schoolwork on-site, instead of at home. Fusion Academy will add to the mix of child learning centers located in Carlyle, joining Bright Horizons which opened in late 2015.
