The National Weather Service (NWS) has a new Flash Flood Warning for Alexandria, Virginia and the surrounding area from NOW until 6:15 PM TODAY (Friday, July 28, 2017).

* Until 615 PM EDT

* At 318 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the area. One to two inches of rain has already fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
