What Flash Flooding Looks Like in Alexandria, Virginia (Video)

With the current heavy rain event going on, everyone in Alexandria is urged to be alert for flash flooding, particularly along streams and rivers and in low-lying areas. High waters may be on the roadways, and everyone is urged to use caution when driving.

Cameron Run is nearing flood stage levels this afternoon.

For an example of just how high the water can get in Alexandria, see the above video. This was from a flash flood incident that occurred during a BIG rain event in 2011.
