National Night Out 2017 in Alexandria, Virginia (Photos)

Did you get out for the 34th National Night Out on Tuesday night? The rain held off and quite a lot of people were out to heighten awareness of crime prevention.

McGruff the Crime Fighting Dog, the Alexandria Police K-9 Unit, Motor Unit, Command Bus, Armored Personnel Carrier, Crime Scene Mobile Lab, and the Alexandria Fire Department toured neighborhoods and offered special demonstrations.

Above is a shot from the block party the Del Ray Business Association threw at the Mount Vernon Recreation Center field. Alexandria PD K9 XigXag was out greeting residents young and old.
