TRAFFIC: Police Investigating a 1-Car Crash on Route 1

The Alexandria police department said two people were injured after crashing their car into a building at the Potomac Yard Shopping Center on Wednesday morning in Alexandria, Virginia.

The crash occurred in the 3100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway (see map below).

No one inside the building was injured, but the two people in the car were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, and the extent of the injuries is unknown.
