Alexandria Elementary Schools Mentioned in Northern Virginia Magazine

Alexandria, Virginia has the some of best elementary schools in Northern Virginia, according to an evaluation by Northern Virginia Magazine.

The evaluation evaluated a number of factors, including the percentage of students who passed the 2010/2011 Standards of Learning test (SOLs); the percentage of students who performed above average on the SOLs, the percent average of how students performed on SOLs in a three-year time period; and the percentage of students who receive free/reduced lunch.

The schools mentioned by the magazine are:

Lyles-Crouch and Charles Barrett also ranked regionally in the top 25% of ALL Northern Virginia schools.
