Fairfax Police Searching for Endangered Missing Teen

Fairfax Police Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing man, now believed to be endangered. 18-year-old Miguel Angel Ruiz Carrillo, of the 4200 block of Buckman Road, was last seen in the evening hours of Thursday, August 3. When he didn’t return to his home by the next morning, family members reported him missing.

Initially Carrillo was entered into the National Crime Information Center computer (NCIC) as missing. As detectives developed more information, Carrillo’s status was changed to “Missing/Endangered” on Sunday evening.

It now appears that Carrillo is missing under suspicious circumstances that are believed to be gang-related.

Detectives believe he was last seen in a wooded area near the end of Pole Road at Pondside Terrace and his life could be in danger. We have been actively searching for Carrillo since he was first reported missing. The search and the investigation continue.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Detective M. Fox at 571-489-1796, or the Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131.  You can also submit a tip anonymously through Crime Solvers electronically by visiting  or text-a-tip by texting “TIP187” plus your message to CRIMES(274637).
