Police Searching for Missing Endangered Man from Alexandria

Alexandria Police are asking for the public’s help in finding Walter “George” Winstead, 49, missing from the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia since Monday. Mr. Winstead is classified as an endangered since his family is concerned for his well being, and believes he needs assistance.

Mr. Winstead is a 49-year-old white male, 6″, 180 lbs. with brown hair and grey eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt, light colored shorts and dark colored shoes. Mr. Winstead’s family is concerned about his welfare.

Mr. Winstead was last seen in the Del Ray area at approx. 7:45 a.m. on Monday, August 28. Police say Tuesday his car was located at the Rose Hill Shopping Center in Fairfax County.

Mr. Winstead’s family has put out the following flyers concerning Mr. Winstead.
