Billboards Nationwide to Honor Slain Virginia Trooper Billboards around the country will thank law enforcement officials later this month on behalf of the family of a Virginia State Police trooper who was killed in the line of duty. (WJLA)

Long Bridge Rail Expansion May Allow Biking/Walking Plans to expand a key rail bottleneck will focus on building a new two-track bridge next to the 113-year-old Long Bridge and could also include an option for people to walk or bike across the Potomac. (WTOP)
